The Australia-Pacific Technical College (APTC) is an Australian Aid program that has been delivering Australia Vocational qualifications in the Pacific for ten years. APTC works in partnership with regional industry, governments and selected Technical, vocational Education and training institutions to assist the development of a more completive regional workforce and to improve the livelihoods of families and communities. The APTC is seeking applications from suitably qualified, experienced and motivated individuals to join our dynamic HR team in Solomon Islands.

Position Overview

The Finance Officer is responsible for the administering and implementing the financial operations of the APTC Solomon Islands campus ensuring that financial activities are undertaken in accordance with APTC policies and procedures.

To be considered for this position, you must possess:

  • Diplomatic level qualification in a related field or post-secondary qualification and demonstrated experience in related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in operating within finance environment using computerized finance systems.
  • Proven ability to work independently, often under pressure, and exercise sound judgement in the development and implementation of financial management functions.

Experience in establishing priories, organizing workload, achieving objectives and meeting tight deadlines.
