The Australia-Pacific Technical College (APTC) is an Australian Aid program that has been delivering Australia Vocational qualifications in the Pacific for ten years. APTC works in partnership with regional industry, governments and selected Technical, vocational Education and training institutions to assist the development of a more completive regional workforce and to improve the livelihoods of families and communities. The APTC is seeking applications from suitably qualified, experienced and motivated individuals to join our dynamic HR team in Solomon Islands.
The National tutor-carpentry key objective is to provide support to the APTC students and trainers in the delivery of certificate III carpentry qualification, the national tutor- carpentry will work under the supervision of a qualified trainer and will undertake professional development to build knowledge and skills level to enable increase independence in training and assessment activities over time.
To be considered for this position, you must possess:
- Australian vocational qualification in carpentry to the level being delivered and assessed or above.
- Recent relevant industry experience (minimum of 5 years)
- Demonstrates experience in supporting the learning of students with different cultural backgrounds and abilities.
- Demonstrated high level written and oral communications skills in English, including the ability to negotiate learning outcomes for students.
