The Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) is recognised as the peak body representing the private sector in the Solomon Islands. The current CEO is due to complete her contract in September 2020.
The role includes working with the SICCI Management Board to ensure SICCI delivers policies and conveys positions that support SICCI members, jobs growth and economic development.
The CEO is responsible and accountable for developing an annual business plan and budget and to establish and maintain strong networks to promote the public-private partnership between the Solomon Islands government and the private sector.
Responsibilities and Role:
Lead a team in advocacy, media & communications, membership & services, export industry development,young entrepreneurs, nance, administration and strategy departments.
Ensure that SICCI Secretariat is fully resourced, accountable for individual departmental targets, and works collaboratively together. The CEO will mentor and coach team members and ensure duty of care.
Maintain accurate nancial records and continue to achieve an annual audit free of any material ndings.
The candidate will have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in the private sector, public sector, or non-government organisation and tertiary quali cations in either business, management, economics, political orsocial science. In addition, the successful candidate will have strong leadership, interpersonal, communication, organizational and negotiation skills.
The position is based in Honiara and will require some local and international travel. The appointment is for 3 yearsand an attractive remuneration package will be o ered to the right candidate.
This position will take e ect from commencement of employment and through an on-boarding and handoverprocess. It is planned that the CEO Designate will take on the role of SICCI CEO as soon as possible.
