Unitech with its satellite campuses is the premier technological university in the Country. Fourteen academic departments, including Open & Distance Learning, provide programs in engineering, natural & applied science, built environment, language and business. The student population in 2018 comprises 1800 on campus and 868 off campus.

The Vice Chancellor is both the administrative and academic head of the University. He or she is the leader responsible to the Unitech Council for the control, management, good governance and discipline of the University. The Vice Chancellor plans the future direction of academic and physical development of the University and its campuses.
The successful applicant will possess a PhD in a Unitech related discipline, have sound knowledge and experience at a senior level in academic corporate governance and institutional development, and possess outstanding personal and leadership qualities.
